Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance microservices using cloud-native architectures (AWS/Azure)
- Lead code reviews and enforce best practices for CI/CD pipelines
- Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party government systems
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and architectural sessions
- Optimize application performance and security posture for enterprise clients
- Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications
- Contribute to open-source projects and technical documentation
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Python/Java/Go
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of government compliance requirements (FedRAMP, NIST)
- Proven track record of leading full-cycle SDLC projects in Agile environments
- Advanced knowledge of distributed systems and database optimization (SQL/NoSQL)
- CI/CD automation experience with Jenkins/GitHub Actions
- Active security clearance preferred or ability to obtain one
