Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate quantum research into commercial applications
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE)
- Secure government and private grants for quantum R&D initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum theory and computational physics
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum-machine learning models
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Publication record in quantum computing or theoretical physics
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DARPA)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
