Responsibilities
- Monitor Infrastructure: Continuously monitor network servers, firewalls, and routers for anomalies or outages.
- Troubleshoot Incidents: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with minimal supervision during the night shift.
- Alert Management: Prioritize and escalate critical alerts to on-call engineering teams.
- System Maintenance: Perform routine patching, backups, and configuration updates during low-traffic hours.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and incident reports for post-shift review.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze network performance data to identify trends and improve uptime.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in Network Administration or IT Support.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical certification (CCNA, CompTIA Network+).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Cisco IOS, VPN configuration, and basic scripting (Python/Bash preferred).
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (11 PM - 7 AM).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for shift handovers.
- Problem Solving: Ability to remain calm and logical under pressure during system failures.
