Responsibilities
- Oversee the management and optimization of on-premise and cloud-based server environments (AWS/Azure).
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures, ensuring compliance with FedRAMP and NIST standards.
- Lead incident response efforts for system outages and security breaches.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Configure and manage enterprise firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
- Conduct regular system audits, patch management, and disaster recovery testing.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior system administrators.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Administration within a federal or government-contracted environment.
- Expert proficiency in Linux (Red Hat/CentOS) and Windows Server.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or CCNP.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication skills for translating complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
