Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive 2026+ strategic foresight frameworks using horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis
- Lead cross-functional innovation workshops to ideate next-generation products/services
- Produce executive-ready future-state reports with quantifiable impact projections
- Partner with R&D to prioritize emerging tech investments (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Establish early-warning systems for disruptive threats and market inflection points
- Present strategic recommendations to board members and external stakeholders
- Mentor junior futurists and build organizational foresight capabilities
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, innovation, or futurism with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record of developing multi-year strategic roadmaps
- Expertise in technology adoption curves and disruptive innovation models
- Strong data visualization and storytelling skills for complex concepts
- Certification in Futures Thinking or equivalent (e.g., CFP, WFS)
- Published thought leadership in foresight or innovation publications
- Advanced degree in Business, Technology, or Social Sciences
- Portfolio demonstrating successful future-state implementations
