Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts using SIEM tools to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure system integrity.
- Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with internal teams to contain and remediate security breaches.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to align with industry regulations (NIST, HIPAA, etc.).
- Perform security architecture reviews and recommend improvements to the defense-in-depth strategy.
- Train and mentor junior analysts on security best practices and threat intelligence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or network security.
- Proven experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, or similar).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
