Responsibilities
- Monitor system performance, alerts, and logs during the night shift to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Resolve complex technical tickets, including hardware malfunctions, network connectivity issues, and software conflicts, prioritizing based on business impact.
- Execute nightly security patches, backups, and system updates to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Perform hardware inventory checks and coordinate the repair or replacement of critical assets.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, and maintenance activities in our ticketing system (ServiceNow/Jira) for day-shift handover.
- Collaborate with the on-call team to troubleshoot escalated issues requiring cross-shift coordination.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical certification (CompTIA A+ or Network+ preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or system administration.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and common network protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot independently without direct supervision.
- Proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA and available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 11 PM - 7 AM).
