Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify emerging technologies and societal paradigms impacting 2026+ landscape
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks and scenario-planning models for executive decision-making
- Partner with R&D and product teams to integrate future-proofing principles into innovation pipelines
- Deliver compelling future-state narratives to stakeholders through executive presentations and thought leadership
- Establish cross-functional future-councils to embed foresight into organizational DNA
- Monitor geopolitical, economic, and environmental megatrends to anticipate systemic disruptions
- Quantify future opportunities through data-driven forecasting and risk modeling
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Economics, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic planning, consulting, or R&D with proven futurist/forecasting experience
- Expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methods, and systemic trend analysis methodologies
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation (whitepapers, journals, conferences)
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and predictive modeling software
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive presentation portfolio
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston or Hawaii)
- Experience advising Fortune 500 or high-growth startups on transformational strategy
