Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI) and their market impacts through horizon scanning and scenario planning
- Develop strategic roadmaps for 2026+ product launches integrating breakthrough innovations
- Lead cross-functional workshops with R&D, product, and executive teams to align on future opportunities
- Author forward-looking thought leadership reports for C-suite and industry stakeholders
- Identify and secure partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Monitor geopolitical/regulatory shifts affecting technology adoption and propose adaptive strategies
- Mentor junior futurists and establish foresight methodologies across the organization
Qualifications
- 7+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging tech analysis
- Proven track record developing future-ready roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis frameworks
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, biotech, nanotech)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Published thought leadership in technology or business foresight (e.g., MIT Tech Review, HBR)
- Experience with collaborative innovation tools and foresight software (e.g., Foresight Platform, Trend Hunter)
