Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for 2026+ technologies (quantum computing, neuro-interfaces, AI ethics frameworks)
- Develop patent-pending innovation roadmaps with 3-year implementation plans
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and Board of Directors quarterly
- Manage $5M+ R&D budget allocation across emerging tech verticals
- Partner with MIT Media Lab and Stanford HAI on joint research initiatives
- Establish KPIs for tech adoption ROI and sustainability impact metrics
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic tech planning with Fortune 500 or unicorn experience
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies preferred
- Published thought leadership in IEEE Spectrum or Nature Technology Review
- Expertise in emerging tech: generative AI, biocomputing, spatial web
- Proven track record of launching products with >$100M ARR
- Active security clearance (TS/SCI) or ability to obtain
