Responsibilities
- Oversee 15+ nursing staff in 24-bed ICU unit with 24/7 accountability
- Implement evidence-based care protocols to improve patient outcomes
- Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds and discharge planning processes
- Conduct performance evaluations and mentorship programs for team members
- Ensure strict compliance with JCAHO and CMS regulations
- Manage departmental budget and resource allocation efficiently
- Lead quality improvement initiatives with measurable KPI tracking
Qualifications
- BSN required, MSN preferred with current Texas RN license
- Minimum 5 years ICU experience with 2+ years in leadership role
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications mandatory
- Proven track record in staff development and conflict resolution
- Advanced proficiency in Epic EMR and critical care monitoring systems
- Strong analytical skills for process optimization initiatives
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
