Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Accurately document patient information and medical records in EHR systems
- Perform vital signs checks and basic lab tests
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and sterilize equipment
- Schedule patient appointments and handle insurance verification
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 6 months clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required
