Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in emergency/trauma departments
- Administer medications & treatments per physician protocols
- Monitor vital signs & document electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Educate patients & families on treatment plans
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO standards
- Respond to critical situations with rapid assessment
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (or compact state license)
- BSN degree required (ADN candidates with 5+ years experience considered)
- BLS, ACLS, & TNCC certifications mandatory
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience
- EMR/EHR proficiency (EPIC preferred)
- Strong critical thinking & communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
