Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vital signs, and preliminary assessments
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and examinations
- Administer medications and vaccinations per protocol
- Maintain accurate EHR documentation and patient records
- Handle lab specimen processing and basic lab tests
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Missouri Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 2 years urgent care or emergency medicine experience
- BLS/CPR certification required (ACLS preferred)
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth)
- Exceptional communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Available Saturdays and Sundays with rotating holidays
