Responsibilities
- Assess and stabilize trauma patients in high-pressure ER environments
- Administer life-saving interventions including medication and IV therapy
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during critical situations
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with real-time updates
- Provide compassionate care to patients and families during emergencies
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for ER workflows
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years ER/trauma nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 5+ years experience considered)
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in high-stress situations
- Strong communication skills and cultural competence for diverse patient population
