Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management for supply chain initiatives, including port operations, distribution center expansions, and system implementations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including stakeholders, vendors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure project alignment and timely delivery.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address supply chain disruptions and operational bottlenecks.
- Monitor project budgets and timelines, providing regular status updates and reporting to senior management.
- Optimize inventory management processes and logistics workflows to reduce costs and improve service levels.
- Facilitate change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and methodologies across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation and trade.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or project management within the transportation industry.
- Proven experience managing complex projects from initiation through closure, preferably in a high-volume port or manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- PMP or PSMI certification is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive process improvements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
