Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security gaps.
- Implement and manage security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
- Monitor network traffic and analyze logs to detect and respond to real-time security incidents.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations such as NIST, FISMA, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to design secure software architectures.
- Lead security awareness training programs for staff and stakeholders.
- Provide expert consultation on incident response and disaster recovery planning.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, risk management, or information security.
- Certification required: CISSP, CEH, or CISM.
- Strong knowledge of network security architectures and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to obtain a Secret or Top Secret clearance.
