Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for potential security breaches, anomalies, and intrusions.
- Conduct forensic investigations into security incidents and prepare detailed incident reports.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, specifically FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST standards.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden systems against emerging threats.
- Lead security awareness training sessions for staff and conduct regular risk assessments.
- Respond to and mitigate active security threats in real-time.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, government-contracting environment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
