Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust security monitoring protocols across enterprise networks
- Conduct forensic investigations and incident response for security breaches
- Develop threat intelligence reports and mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA standards
- Lead vulnerability assessments and penetration testing initiatives
- Train junior staff on security best practices and emerging threats
- Present findings to executive stakeholders and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification required
- Expertise in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and zero-trust architectures
- Experience with threat hunting and incident response frameworks
- Ability to obtain Secret clearance (preference for candidates with existing clearance)
