Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for suspicious activity and potential intrusions.
- Implement and manage advanced firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols.
- Conduct regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify weak points.
- Lead incident response teams during security breaches to minimize operational impact.
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and other federal security frameworks.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for staff.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to patch vulnerabilities and secure cloud environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity analysis or network defense.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CISM are strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of federal security standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Strong proficiency in Linux, Windows, and cloud security architectures (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Clearance eligibility required (Top Secret/Secret).
