Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead quantum hardware-software co-design initiatives to overcome qubit stability challenges
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems targeting 2026 deployment
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD researchers and build next-gen quantum talent pipelines
- Secure $10M+ in government/private quantum research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Computational Mathematics
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development with trapped-ion/superconducting systems
- Published record in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature Quantum, PRL Quantum)
- Expertise in Q#, Qiskit, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Proven track record of securing quantum research funding ($5M+ preferred)
- Experience with quantum machine learning and NISQ-era applications
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
