Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning
- Lead experimental research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum processors with 100+ qubits
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD candidates and drive open-source quantum computing initiatives
- Secure $5M+ in NSF and DoD quantum research grants annually
- Translate theoretical models into practical quantum cloud computing solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum programming languages
- Proven track record publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Experience with quantum simulators (Qiskit, Cirq) and hardware (IBM Quantum, Rigetti)
- Strong background in linear algebra, group theory, and quantum information theory
