Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead hardware-software integration projects with quantum processors and classical supercomputers
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Develop error mitigation protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with government agencies on national quantum security initiatives
- Mentor PhD researchers and manage cross-functional R&D teams
- Secure federal and private research grants exceeding $1M annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction codes
- Published record in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Demonstrated experience with cryogenic quantum systems and control electronics
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum data analysis
- Security clearance eligibility or willingness to obtain one
- Proven ability to secure NSF/DoE/DARPA research funding
