Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation techniques to enhance quantum circuit fidelity
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives with materials science and AI teams
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external research funding through NSF and DOE grants
- Mentor junior researchers and quantum engineering interns
- Translate theoretical research into practical quantum computing applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and Qiskit/Cirq frameworks
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation tools
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-year research projects
