Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography and optimization
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype quantum processors at cryogenic temperatures
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Develop machine learning models leveraging quantum advantage for predictive analytics
- Secure patents and publish findings in top-tier scientific publications
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise graduate interns
- Present findings at international conferences and industry summits
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or theoretical computer science
- Expertise in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and complexity theory
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC, GPU clusters)
- Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration with engineers and data scientists
- Experience securing research grants from NSF or DARPA
