Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for predictive analytics
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants through DoE and NSF partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit/Cirq/Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing frameworks
- Strong track record of securing government/industry research funding
- Experience with quantum annealing and D-Wave systems
