Responsibilities
- Coordinate logistics for 5-8 weekly events including venue setup, vendor management, and timeline execution
- Act as primary client liaison, addressing inquiries and ensuring satisfaction through event completion
- Manage event budgets, track expenses, and process vendor invoices within designated parameters
- Recruit, train, and supervise part-time staff and volunteers during event operations
- Develop promotional materials and manage social media presence for upcoming events
- Conduct post-event evaluations and compile comprehensive reports for continuous improvement
- Maintain detailed event documentation including permits, contracts, and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in event coordination, hospitality, or related field
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with diverse clientele
- Proficiency in event management software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with reliable transportation
- Strong problem-solving abilities with experience handling unexpected situations
- Knowledge of New Orleans venues, vendors, and local event landscape preferred
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) a plus
