Responsibilities
- Coordinate on-site logistics for private and public events (10-15 events/month)
- Manage vendor relationships and vendor setup/breakdown
- Train and supervise part-time event staff (3-5 per event)
- Create detailed event timelines and contingency plans
- Handle client communications and satisfaction surveys
- Ensure compliance with venue safety regulations
- Track event budgets and expense reports
- Collaborate with marketing team for social media coverage
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year event coordination or hospitality experience
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights/weekends
- Strong knowledge of New Orleans venues and vendors
- Proficient in event management software (Eventbrite, Cvent)
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean record
- Basic CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Ability to lift 30 lbs and stand for extended periods
