Responsibilities
- Coordinate logistics for corporate galas, nonprofit fundraisers, and government receptions
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with DC-area venues and suppliers
- Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown at historic venues across the city
- Create detailed run-of-show documents and maintain real-time communication with stakeholders
- Handle client inquiries and resolve operational challenges during live events
- Track budgets and expense reports for multiple concurrent projects
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years event coordination experience in Washington DC metro area
- Proficiency in event management software (Cvent, Eventbrite)
- Exceptional time management with ability to prioritize urgent requests
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation for site visits
- Strong knowledge of DC venues, permitting requirements, and transportation logistics
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
