Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, and injections
- Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately
- Handle patient scheduling and registration processes
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical instruments
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
- Process insurance claims and maintain compliance records
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- BLS/CPR certification required (must be current)
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Strong communication skills in English/Spanish bilingual
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment
- Valid New Mexico driver's license and reliable transportation
- Background check and drug test clearance mandatory
