Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, injections, and EKGs
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain organized workflow
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
- Handle lab specimens and point-of-care testing
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a medical setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Valid CPR certification
- Virginia state license (if applicable)
