Responsibilities
- Oversee Daily Operations: Manage inbound and outbound freight, ensuring timely processing and accurate documentation.
- Inventory Control: Conduct regular cycle counts and maintain accurate stock levels using our advanced inventory management system.
- Driver Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, coordinating arrivals and managing dock scheduling to minimize wait times.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect shipments for damage and verify accuracy against purchase orders to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
- Process Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks and propose efficient solutions to streamline warehouse workflows.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company protocols to maintain a secure workplace.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel preferred).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and external vendors.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot logistical issues quickly under pressure.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and available to work flexible shifts including overtime during peak seasons.
