- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping emerging tech solutions (quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, etc.)
- Conduct horizon scanning for disruptive technologies and competitive threats
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board of directors
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets and vendor partnerships
- Author thought leadership publications on future tech trends
- Mentor junior strategists and foster a culture of innovation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 companies
- Proven track record in emerging tech adoption (AI, blockchain, quantum)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Technology Foresight (e.g., CFTE)
- Experience with scenario planning and technology impact assessment
- Strong network with academic institutions and tech innovators
- Published research on technology evolution or innovation strategy
- Expertise in sustainable tech and ethical AI frameworks
