What You'll Achieve:
- Design breakthrough quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams in building scalable quantum systems
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Shape industry standards through collaboration with IEEE and ISO
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Optimize quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning integration
- Collaborate with hardware teams on quantum processor architecture
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Present findings at global conferences (QIP, IEEE Quantum Week)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or error correction
- Expertise in quantum simulation frameworks (Quil, QASM)
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Proven track record of securing government research funding
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
