Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for emerging technologies (AI/ML, quantum computing, biotech, Web3)
- Develop comprehensive technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives and market timelines
- Conduct due diligence on emerging startups and acquisition targets in strategic tech domains
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite executives and board members
- Establish partnerships with research institutions, government agencies, and industry consortia
- Manage innovation incubation programs for prototype development and validation
- Author thought leadership content and represent Nexus at global tech forums
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or venture capital
- Proven track record of launching products based on emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two future-tech domains (quantum, AI, AR/VR, synthetic biology)
- Executive-level presentation skills with ability to articulate complex concepts
- Advanced degree in STEM field, MBA, or equivalent strategic experience
- Published research or patents in emerging technology domains
- Experience managing multi-million dollar innovation budgets
- Network of relationships with venture capitalists and tech pioneers
