Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic AI roadmaps for quantum/neural interface convergence
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen autonomous systems
- Conduct horizon-scanning research on emerging AI paradigms (AGI, neuromorphic computing)
- Present findings to C-suite and board of directors quarterly
- Partner with policy teams to shape ethical AI governance frameworks
- Mentor PhD researchers and publish 2+ industry papers annually
- Secure $5M+ in government/private AI research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, AI, or related field (or equivalent breakthrough work)
- 10+ years in advanced R&D with 3+ publications in Nature/Science
- Proven track record in scaling AI systems from lab to production
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and neural interface protocols
- Deep understanding of AGI safety and alignment challenges
- Experience securing federal SBIR grants or DARPA contracts
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ commercially deployed AI breakthroughs
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages
