- Conduct comprehensive bias audits and fairness assessments across AI training datasets and model outputs
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for high-stakes AI applications in healthcare, finance, and public services
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to emerging AI regulations and industry standards
- Create transparency documentation and explainability protocols for complex AI systems
- Lead stakeholder workshops to educate teams on ethical AI principles and responsible deployment practices
- Monitor global AI policy developments and advise on proactive compliance measures
- Establish continuous improvement processes for ethical AI lifecycle management
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Ethics, Philosophy, Public Policy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in AI governance, responsible AI, or technology ethics roles
- Expertise in bias detection algorithms, fairness metrics, and model interpretability techniques
- Deep understanding of regulatory landscape including EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and state-level AI laws
- Proven ability to translate technical concepts into actionable ethical guidelines for diverse stakeholders
- Experience conducting ethical risk assessments for AI systems in regulated industries
- Strong background in data science, machine learning, or AI system development
- Certification in AI ethics, data governance, or related field (e.g., IEEE Ethically Aligned Design)
