Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive AI ethics frameworks aligned with IEEE 7001 and EU AI Act standards
- Conduct bias audits and fairness assessments for autonomous decision systems
- Establish cross-functional governance councils with engineering, legal, and product teams
- Design explainable AI (XAI) interfaces for regulatory compliance
- Lead incident response protocols for AI system failures
- Publish whitepapers on responsible AI deployment methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers on ethical AI development practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in AI governance, compliance, or ethics roles
- Expertise in bias detection tools (IBM AI Fairness 360, Google What-If Tool)
- Deep understanding of global AI regulations (EU AI Act, US AI Bill of Rights)
- Experience with model transparency techniques (SHAP, LIME)
- Strong background in policy development and stakeholder communication
- Published work in AI ethics or responsible AI journals
- Certification in AI governance (e.g., IAPP CIPP/AI or similar)
