Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize quantum algorithms and software libraries for NISQ (Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum) devices.
- Translate theoretical physics models into executable quantum code using industry-standard frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or PyQuil).
- Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to ensure software-hardware co-design and integration.
- Lead code reviews, architectural planning, and technical mentoring for junior engineers.
- Research and implement post-quantum cryptography solutions to secure data against future threats.
- Conduct performance analysis and benchmarking to improve quantum circuit efficiency.
- Document technical specifications and contribute to white papers for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience in Python, C++, or Rust.
- Hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks and simulators.
- Strong foundation in linear algebra, probability, and quantum mechanics.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) for quantum workloads.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
