Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Develop strategic roadmaps for technology adoption across 5 key industry verticals
- Produce quarterly futures reports with actionable insights for executive stakeholders
- Facilitate cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and marketing teams
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and research labs
- Quantify market disruption potential through scenario modeling and risk analysis
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal foresight capability
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Strategy, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years experience in technology forecasting or innovation strategy
- Published research in emerging tech trends (IEEE, Nature, or equivalent)
- Expertise in at least two of: AI ethics, quantum applications, synthetic biology, or climate tech
- Proficiency in futures methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning, horizon scanning)
- Track record of translating foresight into commercial products or policies
- Exceptional storytelling skills for communicating complex futures concepts
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful tech-to-market transitions
