Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum algorithms for NISQ-era processors
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum machine learning models
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Develop quantum-resistant cryptography protocols for enterprise clients
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Secure $5M+ in government research grants for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in quantum annealing and variational quantum algorithms
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with superconducting qubit manipulation (IBM, Rigetti)
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants
