Join Nexus Future Labs at the frontier of 2026 technology as we pioneer quantum computing architectures that will redefine computational possibilities. We seek a visionary Quantum Computing Architect to design and implement next-gen quantum systems capable of solving problems currently deemed unsolvable. You'll lead cross-disciplinary teams in developing fault-tolerant quantum processors, optimize quantum algorithms for real-world applications, and architect hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for enterprise deployment.
This role is critical to our 2026 roadmap for quantum advantage in cryptography, drug discovery, and AI optimization. You'll collaborate with Nobel laureates and industry pioneers in our Austin Innovation Hub, equipped with state-of-the-art quantum annealers and cryogenic systems.
Responsibilities
- Architect scalable quantum computing systems with 1000+ qubit capabilities
- Design error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum operations
- Develop quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Create hybrid quantum-classical interfaces for enterprise integration
- Lead research on topological qubit implementations
- Establish quantum security frameworks for 2026-era networks
- Mentor quantum engineering talent in emerging technologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years experience in quantum system architecture
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum computing
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes
- Experience with cryogenic quantum processor integration
- Proven track record of quantum algorithm optimization
- Strong background in superconducting or photonic qubit systems
