Responsibilities
- Forecast and analyze technological, economic, and social trends shaping 2026+ landscapes
- Develop strategic roadmaps for product innovation and market positioning
- Lead scenario-planning workshops to prepare for disruptive futures
- Present trend insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership
- Collaborate with R&D teams to integrate foresight into product development
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists and industry experts
- Author whitepapers and thought leadership on emerging paradigms
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Planning, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future-oriented roles
- Proven expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and strategic roadmapping
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Exceptional presentation skills with executive audiences
- Portfolio demonstrating published futurist work or strategic impact
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., CFPS) strongly preferred
- Experience in Austin or Texas tech ecosystem highly valued
