Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech) to develop 5-year strategic roadmaps
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions for healthcare, energy, and mobility sectors
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and startups to secure IP and talent pipelines
- Present futuristic visions to executive stakeholders and board members with data-driven scenarios
- Oversee incubation of moonshot projects with $500K+ annual budgets
- Author thought leadership publications and keynote at global tech conferences
- Mentor junior futurists and build a dedicated future-sensing division
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or innovation leadership within Fortune 500 or scale-up environments
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (portfolio required)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Futures Studies, or related field
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Strategic Foresight (e.g., CFTR, APF)
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (AI/ML, blockchain, AR/VR, etc.)
- Exceptional scenario planning and data visualization capabilities
- Experience securing $1M+ R&D budgets and managing P&L for innovation projects
- Published author or frequent speaker at Davos, CES, or similar forums
