Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Perform vital signs and EKG screenings
- Manage patient records in Epic EHR system
- Administer injections and medications under supervision
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment
- Handle patient scheduling and insurance verification
- Respond to patient inquiries with empathy
Qualifications
- Current Texas Medical Assistant certification
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to work independently on weekends
- Proficient in medical software (Epic preferred)
- Spanish fluency highly desirable
