Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake assessments and vital measurements
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and examinations
- Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (Epic Systems)
- Coordinate patient flow and weekend appointment scheduling
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Handle lab specimen processing and phlebotomy
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA/NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in urgent care/hospital setting
- Weekend shift availability (Sat/Sun 7am-7pm)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environment
- Valid DC healthcare provider license
