Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events across the enterprise using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and applications.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Ensure compliance with federal standards such as FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and C2M2.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and playbooks for the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC GCIH are highly preferred.
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance is required for this position.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency with security tools including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be willing to work in Washington, DC.
