Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for commercial and industrial facilities.
- Manage project lifecycles from initial concept and schematics to final commissioning.
- Ensure all designs strictly adhere to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local Louisiana regulations.
- Conduct detailed load calculations, power studies, and short-circuit analyses.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and drafting staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers and architects, to ensure project feasibility.
- Perform on-site site surveys and prepare technical specifications.
Qualifications
- Valid Professional Engineer (PE) License in the state of Louisiana.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering.
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and ETAP or SKM PowerTools.
- Deep knowledge of industrial power distribution, lighting design, and control systems.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and environmental compliance.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present technical data to stakeholders clearly.
