Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using AWS Glue and Apache Spark
- Optimize data warehouse performance with Redshift and Snowflake best practices
- Develop real-time data streaming solutions with Kafka and Kinesis
- Create robust data governance frameworks ensuring compliance and quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data visualization solutions using Tableau
- Lead data migration projects while maintaining 99.9% system uptime
- Mentor junior engineers on data engineering best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience with cloud data platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Expertise in SQL, Python, and at least one other programming language
- Proven track record building production-grade data pipelines
- Strong understanding of data modeling (star/snowflake schemas)
- Certification in AWS/GCP data engineering preferred
- Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines (Airflow, dbt)
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
