Responsibilities
- Oversee daily nursing operations and staff scheduling for 15+ bed unit
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO, HIPAA, and Nevada state regulations
- Conduct performance evaluations and mentor junior nursing staff
- Implement evidence-based clinical practices and quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Manage unit budget and inventory control systems
- Respond to critical incidents and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active Nevada RN license with minimum 5 years clinical experience
- BSN or MSN degree (MSN preferred)
- 2+ years nursing supervisory/charge nurse experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong proficiency in Epic EMR system
- Demonstrated leadership in high-volume acute care settings
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends
- Exceptional conflict resolution and decision-making skills
